Take Charge

I TAKE CHARGE OF MY THOUGHTS, AND I DWELL ONLY ON THAT WHICH IS TRUE AND GOOD.

There is one area of your life where you are undisputedly the boss. You are in charge of your own thinking process. No one can make you think anything you do not want to think. You have the total power to choose.

What are you living with in your thought life? Many people dwell on regrets and resentments of years past. They keep these old grievances alive by thinking about them. You don’t need to live this way. Learn to take conscious charge of your thoughts. Think on those things that are good and true—and relevant to your everyday life and experiences.

If you seek to become conscious of the activity of God in your life today, then base your thoughts on this understanding. God works in your life as a dynamic power for good. Let your thought center around these ideas and you will be uplifted, blessed, and successful.

Choose this day whom you will serve. (Joshua 24:15)

Miracles

THANK YOU, FATHER, FOR PLACING ME IN A WORLD OF MIRACLES. THE MIRACLE OF YOUR PRESENCE SURROUNDS ME, ENFOLDS ME, AND MAKES ALL THINGS POSSIBLE.

Do you believe in miracles? Jesus said, “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also.” Notice that he did not say, “the miracles that I do.” Jesus performed many acts that were called miracles because most observers did not understand the spiritual laws that made them possible. When the disciples grew in understanding and no longer saw such demonstrations as miracles, they, too, were able to do the works of Jesus.

We ought to accept miracles as perfectly natural. It is natural for God’s creations to be happy, healthy, and to have all that is needed for successful and effective living. By human standards, every answered prayer is a miracle, but by God’s standards answered prayer is natural.

Our so-called miracles are simply demonstrations of God’s love for us. The only miracle is love itself, that ever-present, all-powerful force by which God enfolds us, protects us, and draws us to himself.

We live in a world of miracles. Look for each miracle and see it as perfectly natural. Look beyond the outer event and see the power of love that allowed the miracle to take place. Give thanks for an ever-increasing awareness of God’s miracle-working power.

“For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)

Youthful Living

I LIVE DYNAMICALLY AND ENTHUSIASTICALLY. I CLAIM THE MIRACLE OF YOUTH TODAY.

You are created to live a dynamic, vital, vibrant, radiant, joyous, enthusiastic life. Are you?

Claim the miracle of youth. Youth is not a time of life; it is an experience of mind. You are as young or as old as you are thinking this moment. You can become as youthful and vitally alive as you would like to be by changing your viewpoint.

You are not put on earth to deteriorate as the years pass, but to grow wiser, stronger, and happier. Your body is self-renewing. Your cells, nerves, muscles, and even bones are constantly replaced and renewed. Aging is a product of your thoughts, your attitudes, your feelings, and your acceptance of limitation. Stop thinking old. Joyously and enthusiastically participate in life and living.

Praise the Lord, O my soul…who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:2,103:5)

High Places

GOD’S VISION LEADS ME TO HIGH PLACES, AND MY FAITH OVERCOMES ALL OBSTACLES.

Many people who started life in hard circumstances have achieved success because they had a vision. They built upon the vision and were willing to do what it took to bring it about. Opportunities seemed to knock at their door—and they were ready.

The Bible teaches, “Without a vision the people perish.” We all need to grow, to become more and more of what God created us to be. A vision, a dream to work toward, is necessary for our continued growth.

Through imagination, images are built in our minds and then manifest in the outer. These images can be positive or negative. The more feeling we invest in the image, the greater the results in the outer. Therefore, we must be careful about what we visualize and dwell only upon what is good.

Our faith overcomes the world. (I John 5:4)

Follow Through

THROUGH THE POWER OF CHRIST IN ME, I MOVE STEADILY TOWARD THE COMPLETION OF WHATEVER I BEGIN.

Are you as good a finisher as you are a beginner? Many people are good at getting things started and yet allow their attention to be diverted and their enthusiasm to wane. Soon an unfinished project is laid aside.

Do you have anything unfinished on hand? If so, do something about it. Refuse to allow yourself to start something new until the projects you have begun are eliminated. Either throw them out or make a decision and devise a plan to complete them. Be specific.

You can do what you set out to do. To follow through, become a finisher. Develop dependability. Keep a steady movement toward fulfillment and you will be released of a nagging sense of guilt due to unfinished projects. You will be pleased with yourself when you complete what you have started.

You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways. (Job 22:28)
