Bless Others

I SEE EACH PERSON GUIDED BY THE CHRIST INTO THAT WHICH IS RIGHT AND GOOD.

A French proverb says, “To know all is to forgive all.” How easy it is to look at others and be critical of their shortcomings. Yet, unless we are willing to give up attitudes of criticism and condemnation, we cannot expect health, happiness, or a real sense of freedom. Many people are held back by judgmental attitudes.

None of us really knows what we would do if we were in another person’s situation. We only think we know. Have you ever found yourself with a problem for which you had condemned others and found you handled it no better than they did?

Jesus said, “Judge not.” If you really want to grow spiritually, you must give up critical and condemnatory attitudes. Instead of criticizing, bless. Pray for others’ understanding and guidance, and trust God for the rest.

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye? (Matthew 7:3)

Affirm the Good

I give thanks for each moment of time throughout eternity. I CONTINUALLY AFFIRM THE GOODNESS IN EVERY DAY.

No matter what the day seems to hold for us, if we affirm the goodness of the present moment, we will have a wonderful day. A morning shower does not mean it will rain all day long. We actually never know exactly what each hour holds for us, even though we may have our own plans and daily schedules. Every day is special in its own way—holding good for us if we will only claim it.

It is interesting to note that two people working in the same place and under similar conditions may have completely different opinions concerning the good in any given day. This shows that happiness is a choice, and by controlling our thoughts and feelings, we can live in the kingdom of heaven right here and now.

What thoughts would spoil your day? Get them out of your mind and keep them out. Invite good and beauty to enter into your thinking and just see what a difference it will make.

Affirm: Realizing that I can determine what each moment will bring to me, I now call forth good to reign in my mind. Thank You, God, for endowing me with the freedom of choice. Amen.

Behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (Luke 17:21)

Constructive Thoughts

TODAY I DEVOTE MYSELF TO CONSTRUCTIVE, HAPPY, FAITH-FILLED THOUGHTS.

How many times have you prayed but then lessened the effects of your prayer by allowing doubts and fears to creep into your mind during the day?

After you have finished your morning meditation, keep your thinking constructive, happy, and faith-filled. Carry with you throughout the day the inspiration and encouragement you receive in prayer.

No matter what you are doing—working on your job, cleaning the house, traveling, tending the children—keep your thoughts happy and constructive. When a doubt or fear thought comes to mind, firmly and resolutely put it aside and replace it with a constructive one.

As you do this, you will be a stronger, happier, and more courageous person. Your world will take on more of the good qualities that you hold onto in your thoughts.

And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith. (Matthew 21:22)

Creative Potential

MY MIND AND HEART ARE OPEN AND RECEPTIVE TO AN EXPANDED AWARENESS OF MY OWN CREATIVE POTENTIAL.

Everyone has the gift of creativity. What are you doing with yours? You may not feel that you have creative ability, but it is simply awaiting development.

Become alert. Sharpen your senses. Be aware of what you are seeing, touching, smelling, hearing, and tasting. A keen sense perception will help you be more creative.

Mingle with creative people. Learn how they think, feel, and respond to life. Make friends with solitude. Spend time alone each day without noise or distraction. As you think and pray, commune with God and experience that wonderful divine spirit within you.

You have creative ability. Now seek to develop it. What a wonderful experience you will have as you learn to express more and more of your innate creativity.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made. (Romans 1:20)

Grow in Understanding

I SEEK ALWAYS TO LEARN, TO GROW IN UNDERSTANDING, AND TO INCREASE MY AWARENESS OF GOD’S PRESENCE.

Have you stopped to think how important it is to continue learning and seeking spiritual growth and unfoldment?

Dedicate yourself to learning. The world is a school in which we can acquire wisdom and spiritual understanding. In every situation that confronts you, seek the lesson it contains. Attune yourself to the instruction of the Spirit of Truth within.

When faced with a problem, meet it in the faith that you have within you—the Source of wisdom, which is God. Turn to God for guidance and let divine wisdom and intelligence find expression through you.

Dedicate yourself to learning and to spiritual growth and unfoldment. Your life will be richly blessed, and you will be a blessing to others.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. (Psalm 32:8)
