Creative Pattern

I live a creative life today by following God’s guidance.

In all life there is a creative pattern of growth and development. You have an individual, important, unique place in that pattern. You can find and fulfill your God-given purpose if you will pray daily and follow up your prayers with constructive action.

Prayerfully listen to the deep longings within you. Through them God is urging you on to the fulfillment of your own creative pattern.

Your growth and development involves your whole life—your personal relationships, your work, your health, your financial affairs. Let God direct you. Act upon the direction you receive. God’s love, wisdom, and power will work through you as you fulfill your unique, creative pattern in the scheme of things. God’s purposes for you will prevail.

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. (Proverbs 19:21).

Characteristics

GOD, I RELEASE ALL NEGATIVITY FROM MY MIND AND JOYOUSLY EXPRESS THE VITALITY OF YOUR SPIRIT.

Are the following words descriptive of you today? Energetic, enthusiastic, happy, alert, interesting. Are they characteristic of your life? If so, you are a joy to be around. Your life gives a plus quality to everyone you meet.

If not, then how about such descriptive words as dull, lazy, boring, tired, sad? To show forth these negative qualities is to deny the wonderful God potential that is within you.

Watch yourself today, not only in your words and actions but your thoughts and feelings as well. Be that energetic, enthusiastic, happy, alert, and interesting child of God you are created to be. You’ll have a fun day!

Never flag in zeal, be aglow with the Spirit, serve the Lord.  (Romans 12:11)

Amen!

I ACCEPT ONLY THAT WHICH ADDS GOOD TO ME AND TO MY WORLD.

There is an overlooked little word that often appears if we have a spiritual or religious orientation. That word is “amen.”

What does it mean when you say “amen”? In the old-time religion people often affirmed their agreement with the preacher by exclaiming, “Amen!” during the sermon.

The word means, translated from the Hebrew, “So be it,” “It is now established,” or “This is true.” Amen represents an attitude of acceptance.

Be careful what you accept as true. You may be unconsciously saying “amen” to what you don’t want. We seem too ready to agree with negative opinions regarding our health or welfare—especially by those we believe to be knowledgeable. Refuse to say “amen” to adverse judgments. The ultimate authority is God.

The word “amen” puts a seal on what is accepted. Say “amen” to positive conditions you would like to see established, and your life will improve. You will begin to inherit the kingdom of abundant good that God has prepared for you. Amen!

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. (II Corinthians 1:20)

Be Still

I AM STILL. I RELAX AND PLACE MY TRUST IN GOD. MY STRENGTH IS RENEWED, AND I AM POISED AND SERENE.

In our busy world it is sometimes hard just to be still. Yet we need times of stillness in our day if we would be renewed and healed. A poem by R.H. Grenville contains good advice for us:

Still! There is such healing in the word!
All peace is in it like a quiet pool.
It soothes the frenzied fever of the mind
And is as cool as silvered leaves after a
passing shower.

Be still, my soul! Be still a little hour,
And take content
Into your being like a sacrament.
Calm as a star above some lonely hill,
Tranquil as moonlight in a field of snow,
Unanxious, patient, certain of God’s love,
Be still! Be Still…and KNOW.

Be still and know that God is at work in your life and in the world. Be confident that God’s love and goodness prevail. Go forth today assured of divine guidance in all that you do. Focus your mind upon the Source of your being—God in you. Be poised and serene.

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. (Mark 4:39)

Abundant Good

I GIVE THANKS THAT GOD IS NOW PROVIDING ABUNDANT GOOD FOR ME.

As part of advertising promotions, we frequently see invitations to enter a contest or sweepstakes to win fabulous prizes—perhaps a vacation, a shopping spree, income for life, a new home, or a large amount of cash. Out of all the contestants who enter, however, we know that only a minute percentage will win.

The odds are much more sure in life. We don’t have to take chance on good coming to us. Once we learn that all good comes from God, through various channels, we are on our way to lasting prosperity. It is ours when we know that God is our source.

Let us turn our attention to God daily and give thanks for the abundance that is now ours. God will open the door to the kingdom of abundant good for you. Jesus said, “It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. (Matthew 6:30)
