Ask yourself if the following words are descriptive of you today: energetic, enthusiastic, happy, alert, interesting. Are they characteristic of your life? If so, you are a joy to be around. Your life gives a plus quality to everyone you meet.
If those words are not descriptive of you, then how about words like dull, lazy, boring, tired, sad? People avoid others with these qualities because they add gloom to one’s day, and who wants gloom? To cultivate these negative qualities is to deny the wonderful God potential that is within you.
Watch yourself today—not only in your words and actions, but in your thoughts and feelings as well. Be that energetic, enthusiastic, happy, alert, and interesting child of God you were created to be. You’ll have a fun day!
If you would like to be prosperous, begin to think thoughts of prosperity. Create mental images of yourself as being prosperous in every area of life. True prosperity includes health, harmony, love, and all good—as well as wealth.
Many want prosperity yet continue to make such negative statements as, “I never seem to get ahead,” “What chance do I have at my age?” “The world is certainly in a mess.” If you desire prosperity, you must eliminate negative words from your vocabulary. You must release all thoughts and feelings of unworthiness and limitation.
Our first step toward living a truly prosperous life is a conscious awareness of God. We must recognize the divine presence within and know that God is all-powerful. By keeping our thoughts and feelings in perfect attunement with God, we open the way for abundance in every form. Knowing that prosperity can be a powerful blessing, let us begin to receive what is rightly ours.
In the book of Job we read, “Thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee.” Our spoken words are our decrees.
Strongly, faithfully, and enthusiastically affirm that this is God’s day and nothing but good comes to you. Know that as you have decreed so is it established in your life. Whatever you decree—for your day, your health, your mind, your friends, your life—will come to pass.
If a negative experience arises, or if a disagreeable person or situation presents itself, stand strong and firm. Claim once more the goodness of the day and your own good experiences. There is no need to question how the good will come. God will take care of that part. Send forth confident words of truth and good shall return to you.
Do you become discouraged when you believe that you are not moving rapidly enough toward a desire goal? If you have set a worthy goal for the glory of God, then God is now or surely will help you reach it. Why are you in such a hurry? If you have faith that God is working in you and through you, then you will be at peace.
God wants you to succeed. Remember that Jesus said, “Whatsoever you ask in prayer and believe, you shall receive.” Believe that God is working through you and with you. Be patient and persistent, knowing that God is taking care of everything at the right time and in the perfect way.
