When all of the clamorous problems of the world seem to surround you, turn to God’s pure Spirit within and find freedom. Know that God’s power is in the inner and in the outer. Nothing can oppose this spiritual aid, but our own thinking can keep us from being consciously aware of it. One error thought held in the mind can keep our good from coming through. One unloving attitude held in our heart can eventually cause us to knock on the door of desperation.
Before we reach a point of running frantically from “house to house,” so to speak, in search of comfort, let us get quiet in our own “house” in our heart. In stillness and reverence, let us know the Presence of all Life, all Love, all Harmony. Let us realize that we have dominion over ourselves—our thoughts, our feelings, our attitudes. We never work entirely alone. The Holy Comforter abides within and supports our smallest effort, our tiniest degree of faith.
What is your desire? A new job? A healthier body? Greater peace of mind? Happier relationships? Are you seeking greater prosperity, more success? Do you long to do and to be what you feel good about inside? The right use of your imagination will help you bring forth the good you desire, whatever it is.
Accept a picture of yourself, in your mind, as a free, radiant, vital, illumined, successful, happy child of God. Imagine a healthier you—a body aglow with the life of God and a keen, alert, perceptive mind. Imagine yourself involved in right, meaningful, happy relationships. Imagine yourself experiencing great success in all phases of your work. See yourself as free to do and be what God intends you to do and be.
Use your God-given faculty of imagination in a constructive way and you will be blessed with the fulfillment of your desires.
Have you stopped to think how important it is to continue learning and seeking spiritual growth and unfoldment?
Dedicate yourself to learning. The world is a school in which we can acquire wisdom and spiritual understanding. In every situation that confronts you, seek the lesson it contains. Attune yourself to the instruction of the Spirit of Truth within.
When faced with a problem, meet it in the faith that you have within you—the Source of wisdom, which is God. Turn to God for guidance and let divine wisdom and intelligence find expression through you.
Dedicate yourself to learning and to spiritual growth and unfoldment. Your life will be richly blessed, and you will be a blessing to others.
What is holding you back in life? Another person? Business or economic conditions? Circumstances? What is keeping you from being as happy and successful as you would like to be?
The only thing that can stand in the way of your success and happiness is your own belief toward yourself, people, conditions, and circumstances. No one can keep you from doing the things you want to do if you want to strongly enough. The only one who can hold you back is you, yourself.
You will take a giant step in spiritual unfoldment when you stop blaming others, conditions, and circumstances for your own shortcomings. You have a power within you that is greater than any circumstance or condition, greater than the influence of any person, if you will only rely upon it.
The Bible speaks of “Christ in you, your hope of glory.” This is the power that will make you happier and more successful than ever before; a power that, relied upon, will propel you to undreamed of heights.
There is one area of your life where you are undisputedly the boss. You are in charge of your own thinking process. No one can make you think anything you do not want to think. You have the total power to choose.
What are you living with in your thought life? Many people dwell on regrets and resentments of years past. They keep these old grievances alive by thinking about them. You don’t need to live this way. Learn to take conscious charge of your thoughts. Think on those things that are good and true—and relevant to your everyday life and experiences.
