Divine Order

Divine order is established in my life and affairs, and I work with the effortless ease of Spirit.

Are your days hectic and overcrowded? Sometimes we manage to get involved in so many activities that the demands on our time and energy leave us pushed and depleted. Stop to take inventory.

First of all, be still and seek to become aware of the indwelling presence of God. Once you do, you will immediately find yourself relieved from a great deal of stress and strain.

Seek guidance in choosing only essentials to direct your attention and energy toward. Put first things first, thus eliminating the trivial.

As children of God, made in the nature of our Creator, it is important to use our time, energy, and efforts wisely and creatively. Then we will show forth great accomplishments through the harmony and efficiency of our lives.

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:28–29)

Divine Protection

I give thanks that GOD KEEPS ME SAFE in every way.

Are you expecting something unwanted to happen? Anxious feelings that something negative is going to occur can be debilitating. Apprehensiveness—including vague, anxious imaginings and fear of accidents—can be overcome.

Take charge of your mind and know that God is with you. Put yourself at ease by recognizing the Absolute Goodness of the presence and power of God. Go about your daily living effectively by repeating the Prayer of Protection when a fear thought comes.

The light of God surrounds me,
The love of God enfolds me,
The power of God protects me,
The presence of God watches over me,
Wherever I am, God is—and all is well.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (Psalm 91:1–2)

Cleansing

I FEEL GOD’S LOVING, JOYOUS SPIRIT FLOW FREELY THROUGH ME, CLEANSING MY SYSTEM OF UNHEALTHY EMOTIONS. I AM HEALTHY! I AM JOYFUL! I AM FREE!

Are you masking a hurt that seemed to be inflicted upon you in the past? You must cleanse this wound from your system in order to experience the flow of good into your life. By repressing the hurt or hiding it, we do not get rid of the problem. In fact, harboring hurts harms our health and well being.

In order to get rid of the injury, stop rehearsing it in your mind. Cease thinking about what happened. Don’t feel sorry for yourself, for in doing so you are living in the sad past instead of enjoying the possibilities of the present. Ask God to help you to forgive the person or incident. Otherwise, you will carry around negative feelings which restrict the flow of good into your life. Let God cleanse you of the hurt. Then move forward into a joyful life of emotional health and freedom.

You will forget your misery; you will remember it as waters that have passed away. (Job 11:6)

Keep It Going

I LOVE MORE AND GIVE MORE TO KEEP THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS ALIVE EVERY DAY.

Why do you suppose people seem so much kinder during the Christmas season? Even in the bumper-to-bumper traffic, there seems to be more understanding and patience. Shoppers smile in passing and there is a general atmosphere of friendliness and goodwill.

What brings this about? Could we possibly keep it alive all year? Perhaps “the magic of giving” is the key. Christmastime is the season of giving, and we cannot give without losing most of our resentments, anger, and selfishness. In giving we are focusing upon the happiness of another—and how happy this makes us!

Yes, we could keep this wonderful spirit alive throughout the year. Many do! But we must be prepared to give up condemnation, criticism, hostilities, and feelings of superiority. We must develop our qualities of patience and compassion. We must simply love more.

Let us pray for an inner nudge if the spirit of Christmas begins to slip. With God’s help, we can keep the sparkles and delight of Christmas alive 365 days a year.

I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in God’s presence. (Proverbs 8:30)
