It is wonderful to know that whatever we do in life, whether in our business, our home, or our hobbies, we can always do better. The best is yet to be.
Whatever you have done up to now, you can do better. We should constantly work to improve whatever we do. The writer works to make the next story better than the preceding one. The speaker prepares to deliver a more effective talk than ever before. The salesperson works to top previous records. All of life is onward and upward. Nothing stands still; therefore, think of improving on your current best.
Through the power of God’s Spirit in you, you have the ability to rise higher in what you set out to do. The urge of God within you is helping move you forward to exceed what you previously thought possible.
Are you bearing false witness? Do you constantly look for, talk about, and develop fear of negative experiences and error conditions? Or are you bearing witness to the Truth? Are you bearing witness to the goodness and greatness of God?
We surround ourselves in a framework of our own beliefs. We manifest what we constantly see, talk about, and believe in. What we experience in our outer world is but a reflection of the state of our inner world.
We bear false witness when we do not see the goodness and greatness of God at work in every situation. Instead of seeing and talking about each and every limitation, we must give our attention to God’s abundant good. Did not Jesus say, “Judge not according to the appearance but judge righteous judgment”? Even though your eyes may not tell you so, know that God is everywhere; therefore, good is everywhere. You will then be a witness-bearer to the Truth.
Our mind has the wonderful power to tune out anything we do not wish to hear, and to concentrate upon whatever we choose. This power is given us by God so that we can focus on what is vital to us at any time and under any circumstance.
Let us learn to use our power of concentration. It will enable us to absorb quickly and easily whatever we study. It will enable us to work efficiently and effectively. It will keep us from dissipating our energies by jumping from one thing to another.
Thank God for the power of concentration. Use this power on whatever is at hand to do, and you will be surprised by how much you accomplish.
Are you experiencing good in your life? Do not postpone receiving your blessings or neglect any opportunity to increase positive results in your life. The writer of the Book of Job states, “Acquaint now thyself with God and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.” You can recognize and accept God’s good for you right here and now.
Avoid remaining in bondage to either the past or the future. Now is the time that you have to experience the richness of God. Whatever you need in life will come when you make up your mind to accept it. You are deserving of good, as one created in God’s image and likeness.
God has created for us a kingdom of abundance to use and to enjoy. God expects you to have everything necessary for your full and complete unfoldment. Health, wealth, happiness, love, and good in every form belongs to you. Look to God as your Source. Acknowledge God’s presence and power, and your good will come to you.
Isn’t it exciting to be able to begin anew? If we had to live with all of our mistakes of the past, we would be too burdened to go on. We need to cleanse our minds and hearts of error thoughts and feelings daily—not just once a year or on some special occasion.
We do not save the pieces of paper on which we have made errors, do we? We do not keep the burned toast, the broken dishes, the torn garments. Yet many seem to hold on to the memory of an ill-spoken word, an unwise action, a wrong choice.
We must let these things go, else they will soon clutter up our lives and leave no room for new exciting joy to enter. Each moment is new. Each thought can be a fresh beginning. As we ask Divine Spirit within our being to guide us, to direct us, to work through us, we will find we do not make the wrong choices and unwise decisions that at one time may have marred our happiness. In the awareness of God, there is perfect peace.
