Often we would like to help a person who is in need of a healing, yet we are inclined to feel somewhat helpless. This need not be the case. Never does pity or feeling sorry for others help them. Often, more damage is done in this way.
Instead, pray in faith for those who are in need of healing. Silently affirm that the life of God is strong within them—that the power of God is present, and the healing activity of God is at work within them.
Such prayers strengthen our faith, which in turn activates the healing power within others. As we are one in Spirit, our prayers are powerful and mighty to heal others. Encircle anyone you know who is in need of healing with ideas of health and wholeness. You will be pleased with the wonderful results.
Do you try to get even with people? You cannot get even with those who have offended you through retaliation. Someone’s misbehavior is no reason for you to misbehave as well. To give the offender back in kind is illogical and useless. If you stoop to get even with them, you are lowering yourself to their level.
There is great need in the world today to maintain a high standard of conduct. Look to Christ for goodness and guidance instead of following the example of those in the world who are practicing the old, traditional ways of the cavemen.
Let others rise to your higher level instead of descending to theirs. Learn to stand strong and fast to what you know to be true, and God will take care of the rest.

Have you been waiting for God to speak to you? God is always speaking to us. It is our business to learn how to listen. Ideas flash through our mind, but we are often too busy doing some other job at the moment. After several days or even less, we cannot begin to remember what the ideas were. Sometimes we may feel the urge to help someone, but again we may be busy and think we do not have time—and we turn off God’s guidance.
Many of us keep lists of chores we would like to do or feel we must do. Perhaps we should keep a written list of our messages of inspiration from God. If an idea comes to you while you are busy with another task, jot it down. Whenever you feel the call to do something, put it on your list and take action just as soon as you possibly can.
God is speaking now and always has been. What blessings we will receive as we learn to listen!
There is something you can do right now to improve your life—something you can do regardless of the condition, situation, or problem you are experiencing. You can improve your life by changing the quality of your thinking. You have absolute control of your mind and its activities.
What goes on in your mind determines what you experience in your world. As you think so does it come to pass. You should therefore never feel hopeless or helpless in any situation. You have a constructive means of correcting it. Persistently give your thoughts and attention to the good in life that you would like to experience. You will find yourself moving from the negative experience into the desired good.

Do you have an important decision to make? The universe operates according to the laws of cause and effect as taught by Jesus Christ. To make a decision in which you will receive your highest good, it must be based on God’s laws of Truth.
For example, if you were going to sell a house, it would be wise to pick a price that would be fair to you and fair to the buyer. Following such principles, you would see that the decision would be for your own highest good.
There is a true story in which a man had been trying to sell a house for some time, but not even one person had looked at it. One day after talking with a minister, the man realized he had succumbed to the emotion of greed in asking an unfair price for the house. He then changed the price to a more reasonable one. Soon after, a family appeared. They were satisfied with the house and felt the asking price was fair, and they quickly became the new owners.
When you live according to the Truths taught by Jesus Christ, your decisions will be for your own highest good.
