It is easy to think of children as being flexible and adaptable. We can see them growing and learning, in tune with the expanding processes of life.
As children of God, all persons have these same qualities and possibilities. We are the progressing, expanding, renewing expressions of infinite life. It is possible for us to always remain flexible in mind and body, to easily adjust to every change in and around us. Through prayer, you make expansion the law of your being and spiritual unfoldment the law of your life.
Try the following prayer today:
I let go of the old. I do not resist the law of progress. I am not crystallized in mind and body. I lend myself to the harmony and rhythm of life. My mind and body are flexible and adaptable.
Such a prayer will enliven you. It will quicken in you a new interest and a new enthusiasm to meet and make changes. Such a prayer will make us alert to and cooperative with the law of progress.
Jealousy and envy are unhealthy emotions that affect many aspects of life. We may be envious of our competitors’ success. We may worry that someone can take the love or interest of our loved one from us. These attitudes are based on false assumptions. We gain and keep our good by right of consciousness. If it appears that something or someone is being taken from us, we need to get our thought life in order.
It is true that through one’s change of consciousness things and people may come and go in our lives. Yet nothing is ever released until that experience is finished—then higher good will inevitably result.
Learn to trust God. You can never lose anyone or anything that belongs to you by right of consciousness. Be willing for God to work through you to bring forth all that is for your highest good.
Are you fulfilling your part in establishing world peace?
You may think that since you are not a statesman or world leader you don’t have much to do with peace. Yet that is absolutely incorrect.
You personally play an important part in establishing world peace. When you become a center of peace—peaceful with family and friends, peaceful with those at work, and peaceful in all your ways—you become a power for peace in your world.
To have a confused, hostile mind, is to add to the wars of the world. To have confused, angry thoughts and feelings adds to the confusion and hostility on earth. Personal discord and inharmony adds to unrest and instability in the world. How very important you are in establishing global peace!
When you find that center of peace, which is Christ in you, your life will be harmonious and good, and you will be a peaceful presence in the world.
It is easy to become disturbed at conditions we see in our world. Often, we are inclined to feel that we are powerless to do anything about them.
Yet there is something constructive you can do. Send out your blessings to all in need. Blessing others, as well as situations, is a good thing to do. It brings forth the very best.
To bless means to confer good upon. Through our good thoughts, our constructive feelings and words, we set the very power of God to work. Improvement will take place in anyone or through any situation that you bless daily. Try it.
