Unlimited Supply

I give thanks for my unlimited supply of both seen and unseen blessings.

Do you think in terms of what you have or in terms of what you lack? Regretting what you do not have is the quickest, easiest way to unhappiness. You’ll always have available material for your unhappiness if you want it.

If you have this habit of thinking of what you lack, change it. One of the most effective ways to experience more is to give thanks for what you have. If you can be happy with and grateful for what you have right now, then anything extra you receive only adds to your happiness.

Be radiantly joyful because of your present blessings. They are gifts of God to you. Thus you will open out a way for even more good to come into your life.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:2–5)

Waiting

I give thanks for every moment of time in my life.

We have all witnessed the fussing and fuming of one who has difficulty waiting. There are times, it seems, when we all simply must wait. It does no good to be a horn-honker, an agitator, a pusher, or a fumer. Yes, we do have schedules to keep, appointments to make, and other things we had rather be doing, but we can learn to make “waiting time” valuable also.

It may be a good idea to keep a notebook and pen in our car for just such occasions. While waiting, we could write down our goals and purposes. We could list all of the many things that we someday want to do. We could list all that we want to be! We should always keep an idea file, and waiting time is the perfect opportunity to add to it. When we are receptive to ideas, they do come to us easily.

We can’t always avoid waiting, but we certainly can avoid wasting. Time is precious. Let us treat it so.

I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. (Psalm 130:5)

Words as Tools

I watch my words today. I speak only that which is good and constructive.

Each of us use many tools each day. Rightly employed, they help us accomplish the things we need to do. Tools used wrongly, whether through ignorance or deliberate intent, are destructive and harmful.

The words you speak are tools that God has given you. Are you using them in a constructive or destructive way?

Words can discourage or encourage. Words can build confidence and success or destroy it. Words can cause optimism and joy or despair and gloom.

Become conscious of the way you use words; be aware of the words themselves. Words of anger, criticism, gossip, fear, and despair tear down. Words of encouragement, kindness, peace, and happiness build up and bless—not only others but ourselves.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. (Proverbs 18:21)

Wonderful Memory

Praise God, I have such a wonderful mind! I have such a wonderful memory!

What are you saying about your memory? Have you recently expressed such thoughts as, “I have a poor memory” or “I’m not good at remembering names”? When you do this, your memory responds to the words you decree; thus it becomes increasingly difficult for you to remember.

Your memory is your obedient servant. Bless it and give thanks that it functions perfectly. Within you is the perfect Mind of God, enabling you to bring to your mind instantly what you need to recall. Work with your memory by focusing your attention on what you want to remember. Consider the topic from several points of view. Associate it with other information. Make a clear mental picture of it, and it will be in your mind for future reference.

But we have the mind of Christ. (I Corinthians 2:16)

Hope

I am a perfect child of God in Christ. I am unfolding in this state of perfection every day. Thank You, God.

People may ask us, “How are you today?” or “How are you feeling?” Actually, there is no need for these questions, because the answer is clearly written upon our faces and is radiating out from us in every way.

As we begin to put God first in our mind, then will we be on the path to health, happiness, and abundant good in every form.

Though people may at the moment be experiencing illness, poverty, or outer disturbances, those who are on the path of Light—seeking God—will truly be able to say, “I am fine! Life is great!” They trust in the goodness of God and have hope for a better future.

How are you today? Are you filled with hope? Are you able to vision good for yourself? Do you know and act like the child of God that you are?

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
