Possessions

GOD, I AM GRATEFUL THAT YOU ARE MY ALL SUFFICIENCY IN ALL THINGS. I PLACE MY FAITH IN ONLY THAT WHICH HAS LASTING VALUE.

Are you bound by your possessions? Too often people are controlled by their property, land, houses, money, investments, and bank accounts. To be possessed by one’s possessions amounts to a false sense of security, for all of these are temporary.

In back of all possessions lies the invisible substance of God. Look to God and build a consciousness of God’s invisible good. When you do, you will have plenty of all that you desire—whether it be property, land, money, or any other good.

There is nothing wrong with any of these things, but there is something dreadfully amiss when we see them as an end in themselves. If we see them as representatives of God’s good for our use and enjoyment, we will never be possessed by them. Nor will we be willing to sacrifice our integrity or that of any other person to attain them.

Let your values be based upon God—the true source of all good. Give thanks that God has provided all good things for your use.

“One’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” (Luke 12:15)

Happiness

I ACCEPT THE HAPPINESS THAT COMES FROM MY AWARENESS OF GOD’S BEAUTY IN ALL CREATION. I RADIATE HAPPINESS INTO MY WORLD.

Happiness is for you. Remember that the good news of Jesus Christ includes freedom and joy. It is right for you to enjoy life, to take pleasure in wholesome activities.

You have been given many things in which to find happiness. Give thanks for them. Notice the beauty all around you, which is given to you freely. Behold nature with its trees, shrubs, grass, and flowers; the sunrise and sunset; birds and animals. You have also been given the gift of people—family members, friends, or others you see in your daily routine.

Cultivate your ability to appreciate the beauty around you, whether in nature, people, or experiences. As you become more conscious of beauty, you will begin to radiate it to others. Your happiness, in order to be real, must be shared.

Happiness is good for you. It helps your body function more effectively and upgrades your outer world of experience. Be the happy, wholesome, vital, alive person God created you to be!

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed are those who trust in God! (Psalm 34:8)

Expect Success

I REJOICE AND GIVE THANKS THAT GOD EXPRESSES THROUGH ME NOW.

With God’s unlimited, powerful, directive intelligence within you, why shouldn’t you be successful? Expect positive results in all you do and God will make your way successful and prosperous.

God gives you ideas of success and prosperity to fit your special talents and abilities. If you act upon the ideas given you, the ideas will attract to themselves all that is needed to bring them into visible form.

Let your thoughts and words be based upon your positive expectancy of success. Remember that your desires come from God who provides the way for their fulfillment.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

Patience

I AM ESTABLISHED IN AN ATTITUDE OF PATIENCE.

Today, “Let patience have its perfect work.” If delays arise, if traffic is congested, if services are slow, if others are hesitant to take initiative, turn these delays into opportunities for developing patience. Refuse to be anxious or resentful. Bless each situation with thoughts of order.

If others are late for an appointment, bless them and wait patiently for their arrival. Occupy your waiting time by thinking of ways to make your meeting more pleasant and beneficial.

Patiently perform your duties to the best of your ability. Do not be upset by unforeseen problems. Instead, declare that you are letting patience do its perfect work in and through you.

But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. (James 1:4)

Hope

I GIVE THANKS THAT I AM A CHILD OF GOD, A CHANNEL FOR GOOD.

The love and encouragement we give to others may make a tremendous difference in their lives. Love and hope are certainly the two greatest gifts that we could ever offer.

Many successful people give credit to someone who encouraged them or lifted them up in a time of need or despair. People often reach for pills, alcohol, another cigarette, or an extra piece of pie—when what would really satisfy is hope.

Can you be the one to give hope? Where do we obtain this gift? Where does hope exist? Within the believing heart. Every heart that believes beyond a shadow of a doubt that the very Spirit of God is within—to guide, to inspire, to sustain forever—has hope! If you have hope—share it and be blessed.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
