It is easy to become disturbed at conditions we see in and through our world. Often, we are inclined to feel that we are powerless to do anything about them. There is, however, something constructive you can do. Send out your blessings to all in need. Blessing others as well as situations is a good thing to do. It brings forth the very best.
To bless means “to confer good upon.” Through our good thoughts, our constructive feelings and words, we set the very power of God to work. Improvement will take place in anyone or through any situation that you bless daily. Try it.
How long has it been since you examined a leaf or marveled at the unfolding petals of a flower? When was the last time you stopped to admire the song of a bird or listened to the purr of a new-born kitten? How very busy we get! How accustomed we become to the so-called ordinary and everyday!
Let us learn to look at each day’s treasures in a new light. The world is so full of loveliness, our lives will take on new meaning if we develop the habit of awareness. As we look and listen with eyes and ears of expectancy and eagerness, we will find goodness and loveliness all around us.

Every day we make choices. We choose what our attitude for the day will be. We choose our wardrobe. We choose whether to venture out with new ideas or merely repeat what we did yesterday.
We form our world by choices. We are living right now where we at some point chose to call home. Our means of transportation is also the result of a choice. Our friends were chosen, as was our work and our environment. Our world is the outpicturing of our inner thoughts, attitudes, and decisions.
What disappoints you? What would you change? You can change things, you know. Whatever it is, begin now to choose that which you want. If you want more material good, choose it by picturing it in your mind—by feeling it as a part of you. Choose to draw closer to God. Choose to experience the abundant good that God has for you. For a deeper spiritual understanding, chose to follow the guidance of Christ within.
It is good to have empathy for others—for then we can, if we are spiritually wise, give them the right uplifting word or thought. By knowing how others might feel, we do not criticize or condemn them. We do not feel that they are apart from us. We feel a bond of kinship.
Never should we feel sorry for others, for this attitude keeps them down, bound tightly to their negative conditions.
We must always look at each other with the eyes of Spirit—knowing that we can help negativity pass by looking through it and seeing the Truth of being. God dwells within each one. The potential of perfection is ever at hand.

Caring is taking action rather than simply talking about what someone else should do. Do you care enough to stir yourself from a comfortable rut and challenge those who need to be challenged? Do you care enough to take an unpopular stand if that is needed?
Many people say they care, but real caring demands action. If we really care about our world and do sincerely want peace for all, we will become centers of peace ourselves. This requires discipline and self-control.
It is one thing to say wistfully, “Oh, when will we stop hurting each other?” and quite another to take hold of our own thoughts, feelings, and actions and demonstrate harmony, love, and respect. Jesus cared. We never doubt this—for He took action and in so doing changed our world. We can do the same. Do you care?
