What is it you desire? A new job? A healthier body? Greater peace of mind? Happier relationships? Are you seeking greater prosperity, more success? Do you long to do and to be what you feel good about inside?
The right use of your imagination will help you bring forth the good you desire—whatever it is.
Accept a picture of yourself, in your mind, as a free, radiant, vital, illumined, successful, happy child of God. Create an image of a healthier you—a body aglow with the life of God and a keen, alert, perceptive mind. Picture yourself involved in right, meaningful, happy relationships. Imagine yourself experiencing great success in all phases of your work. See yourself as free to do and be what God intends you to do and be.
Use your God-given faculty of imagination in a constructive way and you will be blessed with the fulfillment of your desires.
Balance is necessary for perfection. The universe operates in perfect balance—in divine order. We must have physical balance in order to swim, ski, skate, or even to walk. When we fall, what is it we so often say? “Oops, I lost my balance!”
How important it is for our spiritual life to be well balanced, if we would be channels for good. We “lose our balance” when we spend all of our time in prayer and meditation, and neglect to do God’s work. On the other hand, we can get caught up in a round of good works and not take the quiet time that our souls need. The work will soon suffer if we continue in this way.
Jesus gave us a perfect example to follow, for He often went apart for communion with the Father, and then returned to do the Father’s work.
