Sometimes we spin our wheels over anxious thoughts and feelings. We may over-eat, over-talk, and exhaust ourselves in many ways, simply because we cannot be still and allow God to establish perfect good in our lives.
Jesus said, “Peace, be still.” Let us repeat these powerful words to ourselves whenever we feel that we personally must solve every problem and provide every answer, or whenever we don’t know what to do, and we are mentally pacing the floor.
God’s power is able to work in us and in others to bring forth the highest good for all, whenever we do not put up barriers. Barriers are built out of worry thoughts, doubts (whether spoken or in thought), and fears. Let us cleanse our minds and hearts of all worry, fear, and limitation and allow this wonderful spiritual power to freely flow through us and our affairs. We will help ourselves and others as well. Always check your “spinning wheels” with these words: ‘”Peace, be still.”
Are you always in a hurry? This way of doing things implies lack of order, method, and discipline. Have you ever noticed how nature works? It is methodical and reliable, not rushed.
People hurry because of a belief in lack of time. You have all the time there is. The use of your time, however, is a different matter.
Work with order, method, and discipline. Learn to stay focused and finish what you start. Refuse to be tardy. Plan your time so you will always be where you need to be, when you need to be there. Working in a methodical way will enable you to accomplish a great deal with a minimum amount of stress and strain.
God is never rushed and never late. Tune in to God’s way of doing things, and you will work with order and ease.
