Vitality

I AM FILLED WITH VIGOR AND VITALITY, FOR I AM AGELESS, ETERNAL SPIRIT.

One of the many ideas that seem to exert control over us is the belief in age. We build a negative expectancy in the waning powers of both the mind and body. We even use age as an excuse for not doing things we should be doing, both physically and mentally. In our words we often indicate that we think we’re supposed to be going downhill. Naturally, when we build a strong belief of this nature, we find that our body responds.

Be on guard. Stop going along with the thought that you are too old to enjoy life, to have good health, to do the things you would like to do. Stop using the belief in age as a way of retreat from life.

Rise out of lethargy, out of feelings of decline and uselessness, and begin to live. You have the gift of God’s ageless, deathless eternal Spirit. Act like it!

Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:30-31)

Golden Moments

I WAIT IN THE LIGHT AND LOVE OF GOD, AND I AM BLESSED.

How many minutes or even hours of the day do you spend in waiting? We wait our turn in traffic, we often wait for appointments, we wait to be helped in stores. Most of us do spend a great deal of time in waiting.

Perhaps this is when an idea of great value can come to us. Are we receptive to good during our periods of waiting, or are we guilty of griping, restlessness, and boredom? We can change our so-called dull moments of delay into golden moments of receiving our good.

Turn to God, the Source of all good, during these waiting moments. Let divine love flow through you to vitalize every cell of your body temple. Give thanks and deliberately look for the good about you. Soon, you may even begin to look forward to those times of just waiting! You will have changed them into moments of inspiration from which you reap rich rewards.

Yes, wait patiently for the LORD. (Psalm 27:14)

Orderly Mind

I GIVE THANKS FOR AN ORDERLY MIND THAT ENABLES ME TO WORK WITH EASE AND SUCCESS.

How many people’s lives are governed by the clock? There seems to be a great sense of hurry—people dashing here and there, often late for work or appointments, frustrated, talking about all they have to do and the little time in which to do it. Those who have order first in their thoughts and mental attitudes will have little problem with disorder in their lives.

If you have many things to do, plan them according to their priority. Do the most important tasks first. When you have finished one thing, move on freely to another. You will find yourself accomplishing much, with an ease and efficiency you did not know you possessed, as you work in an orderly way.

You do not need to have a sense of hurry. Just allow yourself a little more time, if necessary, and learn to give wholehearted attention to whatever it is you are doing. You are in charge of your life. You are in charge of your time. Use it wisely, effectively, and freely.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. (Romans 12:2)

Youth

I am a Spiritual Being, living life eternally.

How old are you? Exactly as old as you think you are! If we are really living, age is not important. Certainly, in Spirit there is no age.

As we think rightly, we will continue to produce good and valuable works for as long as we live in our present body. Old age does not begin at any certain time in our life, for as long as we think young, we will remain young.

If a budding flower continues to thrill your heart; if a rainbow causes you to catch your breath in wonder; if change does not frighten you; if you can see the good in all things—then you are truly living and you are young, no matter what your chronological age.

A good thought is much more effective than all of the so-called youth-producing products on the market. Thoughts, feelings, and attitudes of Truth keep us at the peak of good health and good works. Whether we are nine or ninety-nine—or well beyond—let us express ourselves and enjoy living to the fullest.

Praise the Lord, my soul…who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:2,5)

God’s Presence

WE GIVE THANKS FOR YOUR PRESENCE, GOD. WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR WILLINGNESS TO HELP US THIS DAY.

Do you realize that God is present in your everyday life and affairs? If you will only recognize this reality, God will help you in your every task—whether great or small.

Knowing God’s presence is not a difficult or mysterious process reserved for certain times, places, and people. It is a way of life to be lived.

When you do know God’s presence with you, you will experience many added blessings in life. In God you will find extra strength—that extra, inner push needed to help you complete the work you would like to do. In God you will find order and right relationships—which will enable you to work more effectively and efficiently.

Knowing God’s presence in your life will help you find beauty, love, goodness, strength, and joy wherever you are, in whatever you do.

The LORD will preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth and even for evermore. (Psalm 121:8)
