Keep On

TODAY I RELINQUISH THE PAST AND WALK IN GOD’S WAYS OF JOY, HAPPINESS, LOVE, PEACE, AND BEAUTY.

Does life sometimes seem too much for you? Do you ever get to the point where you feel like you’ve just had enough and can’t go on any longer? If you’ve reached the end of your rope, you know what to do next, don’t you? Tie a knot and hang on!

Any time you seem to reach the end of your rope, this should indicate that the end has arrived for your present negative condition. Now it is time to move higher into more pleasant and fulfilling experiences.

To begin with, use the right words. Declare the truth about yourself—that you are a child of God, loved and cherished. Declare that God is now guiding you into paths of health, wealth, and happiness.

Then daily seek to express joy, happiness, love, peace, and beauty. Let your whole appearance depict these attributes. Reflect them in your speech, and look upon your world with each of these qualities in your heart.

The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and for evermore. (Psalm 121:8)

Justice

MY FAITH IS ESTABLISHED IN GOD’S UNFAILING LAW OF JUSTICE AND GOODNESS.

No matter how unjust or inharmonious a situation may seem, have faith in the justice and goodness of God. Know that God is constantly active to accomplish that which is right and just for everyone concerned.

Your faith in the justice and goodness of God keeps your thoughts peaceful, positive, and loving. This faith frees you from feelings of resentment and condemnation. It enables you to keep a right attitude toward others.

Confidently expect only good in your life. Accept all the blessings that make your life rich and happy. You can—if you have faith in the justice and goodness of God.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Loving kindness and truth go before your face. (Psalm 89:14)

Do What You Want

I see myself as perfect, free, and ready to express God’s unlimited nature.

Be active in the activities you like. Associate with the people you desire to be with. Work at the kind of work you enjoy. Too many people do things they detest because they are taking the line of least resistance, often following blindly what others expect of them.

God does not expect us to do those things we do not like, to hold on to outgrown relationships, to work at something that is distasteful to us, to live according to someone else’s expectations. Such situations are destructive to all concerned.

God wants you to be happier, healthier, wealthier, and wiser. God desires to express through you in an enjoyable, free, dynamic, fulfilling way. Assume your correct role as heir to God’s abundant kingdom of good. You are a child of God!

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. (I John 3:2)

Giving and Receiving

I am rich and freE, FOR I give to God’s work and God gives to me.

God’s supply is inexhaustible and always available for your use. Does your own supply seem to be limited? If so, learn to give. Giving is a requisite for fulfilling God’s law of abundance. Are you regularly and consistently giving to God’s work through a spiritual organization that teaches and demonstrates the Truth. Do you give freely where you receive your spiritual help, understanding, and enlightenment?

You live under the spiritual law of giving and receiving. How often we are willing to give to family, friends, and to social causes yet hesitate to give to the church and to other worthy spiritual organizations. Through giving to God’s work—which teaches everyone about their own potential and enables them to access their unused resources—you help people help themselves. This is the only true help there is. Outer needs can be satisfied, only to recur unless the person has grown in understanding.

Practice the powerful principle of giving, and you will see how God increasingly enriches, blesses, and prospers you as you demonstrate your faith.

But remember that it is the Lord your God who gives you the power to gain wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:18)

Positive Words

I let go of all complaining attitudes. I give thanks for God’s beauty and life now manifesting in and through me.

Avoid the pastime of complaining. Such use of one’s time causes negative conditions to grow and take charge. No matter how much we think we want to avoid or be rid or a negative condition, we only perpetrate it through our negative attitudes expressed in words.

Do you talk about your lack of opportunities or how much you dislike your work? Do you use excuses for your lack of initiative such as, “I’m too old,” “I’m too young,” “I’m too busy,” or “I’m too poor”?

Do you enjoy talking about your tiredness and fatigue, your sick, weak body? Do you take pride in reciting your aches and pains?

Do you enjoy talking about “what’s wrong with the world”—or are you busy trying to make things right?

To indulge in complaining attitudes is to poison your good. You are claiming unwanted conditions. Accepting, claiming, and believing these things makes them grow.

In you there is new life and beauty waiting to express. This is God’s gift to you. Claim it. Accept it. Believe in it.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. (Proverbs 18:21)
