If we plant zinnia seeds in our garden, zinnias will be our reward. If we plant carrots, peas, and lettuce, we need not expect any other vegetable in their place. Universal Law is impersonal and, like a garden, returns to us in due season exactly what we plant.
Our harvest in life is the result of our thoughts and feelings. No one can think our thoughts for us. We are free to choose, and we are always free to change our attitudes.
Let us examine our lives right now. If our experiences are not what we want, then we can do something about it. We have authority over what we plant in our mind. In order to experience good, we must plant the seeds for good. Let us become determined to keep all that is not God-like out of our thoughts and become receptive only to God’s perfect ideas.
Make a commitment to excellence today. Whatever it is you are doing, do a superior job. Take a little bit of extra time and make that additional effort beyond that which is required. If you are committed to excellence, you will give your attention wholeheartedly to what you are doing.
When you are preoccupied with self-centered concerns and not focused on producing excellent results, your work will be inferior. This leads to displeasure and unhappiness for you and for others. You can help make life great by doing your work with excellence. Dedicate yourself to using your talents to the ultimate. You will be blessed.
