Giving

I give freely of all the good that God has given to me. I become perfectly balanced, joyous, and free!

The act of giving involves much more than money. We can give inspiration to those who need it. We can share a laugh or smile with the heavyhearted. We can give our attention to one who needs desperately to be heard and appreciated as an individual. We can give hope. We can give compassion. We can give of our special talents and abilities.

If we are not giving, we cannot receive and thus we lose our balance. The result may be illness, poverty, or unhappiness. These symptoms can be used as valuable warning signals, however, telling us that we have become unbalanced and need to do something about it.

Nothing outside of ourselves can bring our lives into balance—not all of the doctors, friends, or material things in the world. We must adjust the scales within our own being. We can do so by living in the conscious awareness of Divine Spirit dwelling within us. God will guide us into the ways of giving, and our returns will pour down upon us in a splendid array of good.

One gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds what is right, only to become poor. (Proverbs 11:24)

Express Your Joy

I rejoice in the knowledge that God is at work in every situation in MY LIFE. I express MY joy, and I AM richly blessed.

In the scriptures, we find much emphasis placed upon the quality of joy. Are you living a happy, joy-filled life? Do you find laughter easy for you, a part of your nature?

Learn to laugh! Laughter is good therapy. It softens and releases worry, fear, and tension which prevent us from expressing our natural joy. Not only is laughter a blessing to oneself, it also is very contagious. It helps to uplift the spirits of others.

Human beings are the only creatures on earth with the capacity of true laughter. Let us learn to exercise this gift of God and express our joy each day.

I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. (John 15:11)

Receive Your Good

I give thanks for the abundance of good and happiness that is mine right now.

God is offering us all that we could ever desire or have need of, but it is not forced upon us. God’s all-protecting love ever surrounds us, yet it is not ours unless we acknowledge it. Guidance is always available if we but ask for it. Health and prosperity are ours by divine heritage, but still we must stake our claim. All the good in the world lies at our fingertips, but it can never be a part of our lives until we envision it as ours—freely given by our loving Creator.

If we each had to earn every bit of happiness that we experience, how dreary our lives would be! But just by realizing the joy that is a natural part of our being, our happiness has no limitations.

Whatever good we want, God wants for us! Whatever goal we set for ourselves, we can be sure that divine guidance will lead us straight to it, if we rely upon the only true power in the universe. Start believing now that whatever good you desire in your heart, is yours. Reach for it with hands of faith and acceptance.

How much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him? (Matthew 7:11)

Present Moment

I accept the working of God’s unlimited presence within me, fulfilling my every need moment by moment. This is a day of great success in all my endeavors.

Are you sometimes overwhelmed with the many things to be done? It is frustrating for any of us to think of all that hasn’t been done and should be done, plus all that is coming up.

Learn to take one thing at a time. Keep your mind on your present job until that is completed; then move on to the next.

To work effectively we must keep our attention on the present moment, and on the place where our body is. It is exhausting to have our body functioning at noon and our mind at six o’clock. It is frustrating to have our body working in Virginia with our minds and hearts in California.

Learn to live in the present. Take one thing at a time, trusting God for strength and guidance, and you will be pleased with the wonderful days you will have.

In Your hand are power and might; and in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. (I Chronicles 29:12)

Divine Support

I GIVE THANKS FOR GOD’S RICH BLESSINGS. I DEPEND ON GOD AS THE SOURCE OF EVERY GOOD AND PERFECT GIFT.

Do you consciously depend on God? Whether we know it or not, we are dependent on God for the life within our body, the air we breathe, for everything. Acknowledge your dependence upon your Creator, who builds, heals, and sustains your body.

God inspires your heart with courage and your mind with new, useful, and original ideas. God guides you in making wise decisions. God supplies you with everything you need, including beauty, love, and material goods.

Knowing this, let us be thankful that nothing can really separate us from our good. God is not limited in ways and means, and may use many channels to bring our good to us.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)
