Let forgiveness be the aim of your spiritual work today. Holding on to resentment or hostility, no matter how justified it may seem, is harmful to you. The mental and emotional turmoil caused by unforgiveness will lead to severe problems in mind, body, or affairs.
True forgiveness releases completely the negative experience from one’s thoughts and feelings. Resolve that, with God’s help, you now freely and fully forgive any hurts. Dissolve all feelings of resentment and hostility.
When a person comes to mind that you need to forgive, do so. This is your chance to be free from the negative results of holding a grudge. Silently declare, “I now behold and have faith in the Spirit of God in you. I give thanks for the understanding that has come to me as a result of our experience. God loves you—I love you. God blesses you—I bless you.”
In the dark of a sleepless night, problems may become magnified and distorted. In the bright morning light, things look better.
If you are struggling with a difficulty, perhaps this seems like a time of darkness. Negative suggestions may work in your imagination until your mind becomes filled with concern. At any time, however, you can experience freedom from fear by turning to the Light of God.
If you see a sign of infirmity in your body, know that the dawning of health is at hand. Your realization of the life of God moving in and through you will dissolve your doubts and bring you peace of mind. It will be a light that penetrates the dark corners, releasing radiant, health-giving rays within your being.
Take time today to know that God’s perfect life is active in your body. God dwells in you, and God is your health. Think of these words and let them become a part of you. Cast out fear and doubt and experience God’s renewing, restoring, vitalizing life.
