Youth

I give thanks that all false beliefs about age are now erased from my mind. I am grateful for God’s life that restores and rejuvenates me now.

Age has served as an excuse for inactivity, for lack of interest, for physical illness, and for mental dullness—to mention only a few. Yet time itself has no power to age the human body. It is the belief in the effect of time that ages us.

Wake yourself up! Get started right now. Fix in your mind the following thoughts:

“Time of itself has no power to age me. God gives me life, not age.”

“God’s creative, renewing life is active in me right now, keeping me mentally and physically young.”

Allow all false beliefs about age to be erased from your mind. Give thanks for God’s life that restores and rejuvenates you now.

They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

Why Worry?

I RELEASE ALL WORRY, FOR MY FAITH IS IN GOD.

What are you worried about? Nothing, I hope, for worry—which is negative mind activity—tends to create its physical, or outer, counterpart. In other words, you increase your negative experiences through worry. Surely this is not your desire.

Worry is basically a spiritual problem, for it indicates that we have more faith in conditions, circumstances, and people than in God, who is the creative Spirit of the universe.

Have faith that God can get you out of your troubles for good. Turn to God for guidance. Greater is the Spirit of God within you than anything in the world. Whether conditions involve people, finances, or health, in no way is the Spirit of God limited. Learn to call upon God and release all worry.

Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? (Matthew 6:25)

Working with God

I TURN FIRST TO GOD. I FIND NEW INSPIRATION, STRENGTH, AND COURAGE TO LIVE A HAPPY, SUCCESSFUL, BEAUTIFUL LIFE.

Often we exhaust all outer means of handling a problem until the situation seems hopeless. Then, in desperation, we turn to God, hoping for divine intervention. Would it not be more reasonable to turn to God first so that we may be guided in the right way to handle life? Herein lies the key to happy, harmonious, and successful living.

Turn your mind and heart to God first thing in the morning. A word of thanks and a brief prayer for guidance will start your day aright.

Turn to God first when difficulties arise. God is always the answer and will show you how to overcome the difficulty, making your way successful and easy.

Turn to God first when good is received or experienced. So often we take things for granted. When we give thanks to God our joy is multiplied.

Working with God results in harmonious living. We will never be “off key” if we turn first to God, for truly all things will be added.

Agree with God, and be at peace; thereby good will come to you. (Job 22:21)

God’s Gift of Today

I AM BLESSED WITH AN AWARENESS OF GOD’S LOVE, INTELLIGENCE, AND HEALING LIFE.

What kind of day will you have? It is up to you. Today is God’s gift to you. You may do with it what you will.

Pray for love. Love will bring harmony into your day. You will get along well with family, friends, and associates. Make today one in which you pray to be aware of and to express God’s love.

Pray for a bright, alert, intelligent mind. This will result in greater accomplishments. It will be a day in which you make right and wise decisions. You will be attuned to God’s guidance.

Pray for life that this may be a day of healing and restoration—a day in which you feel the renewing, vitalizing life of God at work in your body. Radiate life, vigor, and strength to others.

Enter into your day filled with faith in God and an awareness of God’s presence. Take time to feel this vital power filling your mind, body, and heart.

You can make your day a good one, for God is with you. Through God’s power you can do all that you desire. You can have a wonderful day.

Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. (Psalm 90:14)

Giving

I GIVE LOVINGLY AND FREELY, AND I RECEIVE ABUNDANTLY.

The secret of receiving lies in giving. In fact, it is impossible for us to receive without giving. Often we are like the little lad whose hands were filled to overflowing with jellybeans. Because he would not share them and would not put them down for fear they would be taken, he was not free to participate in a game he was especially skilled at playing and which offered wonderful prizes to the winner. He could have won both friends and the prize of his choice had he been willing to give of what he had.

We may smile at the childish lack of reasoning on the part of the little boy, yet we often do the same thing. We cheat ourselves immeasurably by falsely thinking we must hold on to what we presently have. We believe there is not enough to give. We are held back spiritually if we fear to take a chance on the good God gives by following the law of giving.

By learning to share what we have, we not only make others richer, but we ourselves become rich—both in spirit and in worldly goods. We cannot avoid it! Give, and as you give, get ready to receive.

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you. (Luke 6:38)
