Think

I OPEN MY MIND TO NEW UNDERSTANDING, NEW INSIGHT, AND NEW IDEAS.

Are you a thinker? If so, then your mind is filled with fresh ideas on any subject to which you give your attention. Our ability to think, to meditate upon an idea, is what makes us different from the rest of the animal kingdom. Along with our ability to think, God gives us the ability to work out constructive plans to bring these ideas to life.

Avoid permitting yourself to be so busy that there is no time to think. Take time each day for your mental expansion.

Think clearly and constructively. Take a good look at your life. Where are you going? What areas of your life need improvement? What do you want to accomplish? Learn to think and you will have your answers. Then God will give you constructive ideas to take you to the place of your vision.

Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything. (II Timothy 2:7)

Self-worthiness

I NO LONGER CONDEMN MYSELF FOR PAST MISTAKES. CONFIDENTLY AND WHOLEHEARTEDLY I ACCEPT THE FORGIVING, FREEING LOVE OF CHRIST.

Are you condemning yourself for some mistake of the past—for something you did that you regret or for a deed you left undone that you think should have been done?

There is no need to continue suffering mentally and emotionally because of the past. There is no righteousness in self-condemnation. In fact, self-condemnation builds barriers through which the creative Spirit of God cannot penetrate.

Our weakness, our thoughtlessness, our shortcomings can be changed. Let the Christ love flow into your mind and heart and a new way of life will emerge. Forgiveness of self takes place when we turn our attention to Christ within; all remorse and regrets are banished.

See what love the Father has given us. (John 3:1)

Sensitivity

I am a confident, strong, loving child of God, OPEN only to GOD’s good.

Are your feelings easily hurt? Do you become disturbed frequently? Do you feel you are often slighted? When we have a poor image of ourselves we are usually quite sensitive. We become saturated with self-pity. We feel sorry for ourselves. “Look how others are neglecting me! Look how I am being mistreated!”

Remind yourself that nothing can separate you from God’s divine qualities. Express God’s love, life, and power. You will be so busy radiating God’s good that you are immune to hurt feelings, slights, and self-pity.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38–39)

Abundant Good for All

I AM NOW FREE FROM FALSE EMOTIONS. I LIVE IN THE RADIANT LIGHT OF PERFECT LOVE.

Jealousy is a thief, robbing us of our freedom to express naturally and fully. It takes away our peace of mind and contentment. And what utterly ridiculous things cause jealousy! It may be an unintentional slight from a friend, some imagined opposition, or at times a feeling of not belonging to the group. We may become envious by falsely believing that another has what we want or should have.

Let us become aware right now of the truth that there is abundant good for all. Good is unlimited; therefore it cannot used up by any one person. Let us not be haunted by pangs of jealousy, but rather let us know that all we truly desire is ours. As we center ourselves in the conscious awareness of God’s divine presence—and dwell on the permanence of everlasting good—petty grievances will fade away.

No one else can take your good from you. No one else can turn light into darkness or joy into disappointment—unless you permit it. You are alone in control of your mind and affairs.

And God is able to bestow every blessing on you in abundance, so that richly enjoying all sufficiency at all times, you may have ample means for all good works. (II Corinthians 9:8)

Change

I GIVE THANKS THAT GOD IS IN CHARGE OF MY LIFE. I FOLLOW AS DIRECTED BY GOD’S SPIRIT AND MAKE WHATEVER CHANGES NEED TO BE MADE.

How do you feel about change? The idea can either be stimulating or depressing. If we meet change with a positive attitude, expecting good results, we will find that everything moves in an orderly way.

Sometimes others may not understand our need for change. It may appear that their lives could be negatively affected. Affirm that God is in charge of every situation in your life. When you are guided to make a change, it will result in the ultimate good of all concerned. Do not judge by appearances, but trust God’s Spirit within each and every person involved to bring forth their good.

Change is a valuable part of your life and world. Welcome it with enthusiasm, and have confidence that God is directing your path.

Therefore, we will not fear though the earth should change. (Psalm 46:2)
