Accomplishment

I ACCOMPLISH THE THINGS THAT ARE MINE TO DO IN ORDER AND ON TIME.

The longer we delay doing something that needs to be done, the more difficult it is to complete. Unfinished tasks distract our attention and slow us down.

If you are inclined to put things off, to keep letting things slide, take a stand now and affirm that you are through with procrastination. You can be done with old habits by developing new ones.

As you establish order in your living and thinking, you will have a greater sense of freedom and well-being. A feeling of fulfillment will be yours as you gather up the loose ends of your life and develop consistency and order in your activities. The energy that comes from completing the things you have been putting off will help propel you into productivity and success.

Behold, now is the accepted time. (II Corinthians 6:2)

Be Glad!

I AWAKEN WITH JOY. I REJOICE IN THIS DAY. THANK YOU, GOD!

How did you wake up this morning? Refreshed? Excited by the new day before you? Your first few waking moments help set the pace for the rest of the day. Start with the proper attitude. Stretch and breathe deeply of God’s pure, free, fresh air. Thank God for a lovely day to come—filled with exciting experiences.

Think of something pleasant for the day ahead. This will be much easier if you allow sufficient time to prepare for your day with care and ease. Don’t start your day fighting the clock. Instead, wake up as an individual fully in charge of yourself. Then rejoice and be glad!

This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)

Right Path

I am guided in ways of peace and prosperity. I travel through life confidently, for I know that God is in charge.

We have all at some time felt that we were on the wrong road. We have not seen our desired destination, and so we have turned around—oftentimes just a short distance from our goal, as we may later have discovered!

Of course, people do get on wrong roads occasionally and should get off as soon as possible. Perhaps we need more preparation for our journeys or experiences in life. Just as we would study a road map if we were taking a vacation to a certain part of the country, so should we study and understand our real purposes in life.

If we have spent sufficient time in meditation and prayer before beginning a project, we will receive God’s guidance all the way—or else become aware that we are about to set out on the wrong road. As we allow the Christ Mind to light our path, we will never go astray.

Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. (Psalm 119:105)

Freedom of Spirit

I AM CLEANSED OF ALL PAST MISTAKES AND PERFECTED IN ALL WAYS THROUGH CHRIST WITHIN ME.

Sometimes after using an eraser a smudge still mars the paper. We may feel that the mistake is still obvious, even when the mark is faint and hardly noticeable to one who is unaware of our blunder.

We may also imagine that a mistake of our past has left a smudge for the whole world to see. This cannot be when we have truly forgiven ourselves—for God erases perfectly and completely and leaves no trace of the error that once was. All is made new in the light of Spirit and thoughts are no longer in bondage to the past.

We are free indeed as we learn to live in the freedom of Spirit. Knowing we are vehicles of divinity frees us from all limited mortal concepts that we are personally alone, with mortal tendencies to hold our errors close to us. The expression of Divine Spirit through us is perfect. Our life is beautiful indeed as we learn to let go of the past and allow God to express all the qualities of good through us.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (II Corinthians 5:17)

Giving

God, I give freely and joyously, and I receive rich, abundant blessings you have prepared for me.

Have you inwardly resented the high-pressure tactics used by some groups to get you to give or pledge money? Do you give to a certain place because you feel forced or obligated?

Most of us have experienced an unpleasant sense of obligation to contribute to various causes. Yet we must exercise care to not let wrong methods sour us on the idea of giving.

Everything in our universe, everything in ourselves, is based on the law of giving and receiving. We breathe in and out, our hearts beat, the tides ebb and flow, there is action and reaction. Through giving we align our affairs with this universal law of rhythm—giving and receiving. Give to fulfill the law we live under and to activate God’s blessings in your life. Give wisely—not indiscriminately. Give to the group or organization that provides you with spiritual understanding and helps you to live a more God-like life.

To receive help from one doctor and pay another would seem ridiculous indeed. To give to a group just because you feel obligated or pressured, or to keep up appearances, denies you the opportunity of fulfilling this law of giving and receiving.

Give willingly, freely, and joyously to God’s work. This opens the door to receive increased blessings. Help provide expanded service that others may be blessed as you are.

You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” (II Corinthians 9:7)
