Friendships

I GIVE THANKS FOR AN ATTITUDE OF FRIENDLINESS THAT ENRICHES MY LIFE.

If you feel left out, ignored, or forgotten by your friends or associates, examine your attitudes. Are you making an effort to be friendly? Are you thoughtful of others? Do you express interest in your friends and associates? Do you express appreciation?

Often we become so wrapped up in our own affairs or those of our immediate family that we neglect our associations with others. Don’t be guilty of that, for others are very important to your own growth and unfoldment. In order to live a balanced life, there must be a sharing with others and an expansion of human contacts. Other people bless our life; we bless theirs.

If you need to take the first step in establishing friendly relationships, prayer will reveal what you are to do. As you realize your unity with God and other people, you will be guided into right relationships with those in your world. You will be given new and rewarding friendships. Express an attitude of friendliness to all people and great will be your reward.

And Jonathan made David reaffirm his vow of friendship again, for Jonathan loved David as he loved himself. (I Samuel 20:17)

Ideals

GOD PROVIDES ME WITH GREAT IDEALS THAT I AM MEANT TO FULFILL.

What sort of ideals do you have for yourself? What would you like to do, to be, to experience? What type of relationships would you like to enjoy with others? What are your highest hopes for your business and financial world?

The dictionary defines an ideal as “a standard of perfection, beauty, or excellence.” Without ideals in the various aspects of life, we drift—aimless and ineffectual. Holding to a high vision can lift us out of bondage. We rise above beliefs in lack, limitation, inharmony, and other negativity, and establish a clear sense of values.

No person can become a great “doer” in the world without first being an idealist—adopting as a guide possibilities that have not yet been attained. In this way we move toward the fulfillment of our purpose. Cherish your ideals and watch your life move forward in divine order.

Where there is no vision, the people perish. (Proverbs 29:18)

Light of God

I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE LIGHT OF GOD THAT ILLUMINES MY LIFE AND DISPELS ALL DARKNESS.

When you turn on the light in a dark room, where does the darkness go? It doesn’t go anywhere, for darkness is not a thing itself—it is only a temporary condition. Once the light shines there is no darkness.

How important that idea is to each of us! Jesus said, “I am the light of the world” and “You are the light of the world.” He also said to let your light shine.

Any undesirable condition is but darkness. Once we turn to our indwelling Christ and allow His presence to illumine our minds and hearts, the darkness disappears. It is as if it did not exist.

Awareness of the presence of God illumines areas of darkness caused by our ignorance or lack of understanding. Your light shines as you accept the reality of God’s presence in you. The dark areas of your life will be illumined and you will go forth free.

Your sun shall no more go down, nor you moon withdraw itself; for the Lord will be your everlasting light. (Isaiah 60:20)

Words

I increase my faith in GOD’S limitless blessings by speaking positive words.

Thousands of years before the development of modem scientific and psychological knowledge, human beings of virtually every race and place recognized, to some degree, the power of the spoken word to change their circumstances and their lives.

Jesus warned people that they could be defiled by the words they spoke. He said that they would be judged by every word they uttered. “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:37)

The words we speak are directives to the creative power within us. People in good health who continually state, “I am sick,” will be sick. Those with money who frequently state that they are poor, will lose what they have.

The influence of words upon one’s body and affairs is remarkable. Therefore, it would behoove us to speak that which we truly desire to experience. Words of health, prosperity, peace, and power should be used regularly. Remember, your words are directives to the creative power within you.

Words can change your life. These are the words you speak at mealtimes, at work, and all through the day and evening. To change your life for the better, speak words that express positive thoughts. Positive thoughts acknowledge prosperity, health, love, beauty, and joy. Each word you speak will have an effect according to its positive or negative nature. Use your words wisely.

So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth; it shall not return to me void, but it shall do what I please and it shall accomplish that for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)

Divine Appointment

I accept my true place in life, AND I AM READY TO RECEIVE MY GOOD.

Are you prepared to keep your divine appointment? God is ever ready to offer you wonderful opportunities, new insights, and a real promotion in living. Spirit has for each of us an assignment which, if accepted, will bring peace and happiness beyond anything we could possibly imagine.

Sometimes we are afraid to open the door of Truth. Let us release all thoughts of fear, all memories of the past, and turn toward the light. Once we are aware of the good which is already ours, we will wonder why we waited so long to keep our divine appointment. We will become more than we ever thought we could be.

Good awaits each of us. Shall we make now the time for receiving it?

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (I Corinthians 9:8)
