Talents

I GIVE THANKS FOR MY GOD-GIVEN TALENTS. I PUT THEM TO WORK AND MY LIFE IS BLESSED.

Are you a person who claims to have no talent? The truth is, you have dozens of God-given talents, largely unrecognized, yet ready to be used at any time.

Talent is defined as the abilities, powers, and gifts bestowed upon human beings as a divine trust. You have talents in abundant measure.

What about your ability to think? Are you using this talent wisely by thinking only good, constructive thoughts?

You have the ability to believe. God says yes to your beliefs, and only you can determine your beliefs. “According to your faith is it done unto you.”

To praise is a talent. It is a way of expressing appreciation, which establishes harmony and good responses. All people and things thrive on praise.

One of your greatest gifts is the talent to pray. Prayer is the way you privately commune with God, who is the source of your abundant good.

Start where you are now to use your talents. You will become aware of many more. Put them to work and you will have a happy, blessed life.

As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms. (I Peter 4:10)

Abundance

I GIVE GENEROUSLY, FAITHFULLY, AND REGULARLY TO GOD. I GIVE OF MY TIME, TALENT, LOVE, MONEY, AND ENERGY, AND I RECEIVE RICHLY AND GRATEFULLY.

Would you like to have more of the good things in life than you presently have? If so, consider the infallible law of abundant supply that Jesus gave.

Jesus said, “As you give, so shall you also receive” and “Give and it shall be given unto you.” Giving is our means of opening the door to great riches.

Give generously. Give faithfully and regularly. Everything you have is from God so it is only right that God’s portion be returned. Give of your money—but not that alone. Give of your time, your talent, your love, your energy.

Giving will open your heart and prepare you to receive. Giving is a fulfillment of the law. Give generously that you may receive richly.

Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into you bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. (Luke 6:38)

Move Forward

I release the past AND move forward with the dynamic power of GOD’S Spirit.

Are you allowing a past mistake to interfere with your present life? There is no person alive who has not made some bad mistakes. Sometimes they are publicly known; in other cases they may be harbored only in the depth of the soul.

The misfortune of a regrettable act or circumstance of the past should not be allowed to keep us from effectiveness and joy today. What has happened is “water under the bridge,” and it is foolish to brood over something that has already occurred and cannot be helped. After you have done what you need to do about the situation, let it go and move forward.

According to Kahlil Gibran in The Prophet, “Life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.” Where you are today, what you are doing today, is important. Seek to live a dynamic, purposeful, and meaningful life right here and now.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it on my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13–14)

Healing

I PRAY IN FAITH. I BELIEVE IN THE HEALING POWER OF GOD.

It is always right to pray for healing. It is always right to pray for strength, power, and vitality in the body. The Truth is, the very life of God is within your body. Through your belief in the wholeness of this life, healing can take place. In any time of need, affirm and reaffirm your faith in the healing power of God.

Remind yourself that with God all things are possible. As you pray, keep your mind on the regenerating, transforming, vital life of God, which is the substance of the body itself. This invisible essence of life is in every cell of the body. Pray in faith and believe in the healing power of God.

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. (James 5:15)

Prayer Makes a Difference

THROUGH PRAYER, I AM FILLED WITH ALL POWER TO OVERCOME.

Does prayer truly make a difference? Can it change your day?

“Oh, what a morning!” a friend related. “I broke a dish, burned the toast, and the phone interrupted our breakfast with disturbing news from a relative. I couldn’t have gone on like that, so I stopped everything and just had a quiet time with God.”

Did prayer change the tone of this friend’s day? Of course it did! Affirmative prayer changes us. It makes us realize that God is in charge of the whole universe—and God’s power is unlimited and unopposed. Certainly the Spirit of God working through us, in our lives and activities, can perform seeming miracles. God-power can dissolve the false and negative—can erase all mistakes—can heal and bless and prosper us. Prayer puts us in touch with this mighty Power.

Whenever your day becomes cluttered or disordered, take time to contact God. Ask for divine order and harmony. Affirm the presence of God’s power and see the difference! Knowing that communion with God truly does make a difference, wouldn’t it be wise to start every day with prayer?

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. (Ephesians 6:18)
